Candidate for District 8 City Council in San Antonio, T
San Antonio has a growing population, and much of that growth centers around the city’s growing north-central area. With that comes new infrastructure, commercial businesses, and residential areas. Of course, some aspects of this growth don’t sit well with the community. We have become accustomed to aggressive growth in the suburbs—some more than others—and now we are seeing this extend into the city as well. San Antonio has been fortunate to see several candidates step up to challenge incumbents on the City Council in this election cycle. This is a good thing for San Antonio voters because it raises awareness about how our council members vote on issues that directly impact your daily life. There are seats up for election this year.
D8 District
If you are moving to San Antonio specifically for the North Central area, you are in luck. This area has exploded in recent years with new businesses, residences, and more. The same holds true for the surrounding areas outside of 1604. The Northside area is experiencing massive population growth. We are now seeing the city get a taste of how high taxes and too much regulation affects the quality of life. This is something that is becoming more prevalent across the nation and we see more families leave highly taxed areas.
